At Her Neurotruth, we recognize who you are is not a flaw or disorder that needs to be fixed. Your brain is different, not broken.
Our systems have decided neurotypical brains are the standard for mental health. This has caused great harm to neurodivergent populations, especially women.
Neurodiversity-affirming therapy is not a set of interventions, but rather an overarching philosophy that guides our work together. Her Neurotruth won’t shove you into a neurotypical box. We will honor your life experience and act as a guide as you rewrite any false narratives that have kept you limited in life.
Making the choice to begin therapy is a brave step toward being who you want to become.
During your first session with your therapist, we might ask you things like:
"What brought you to therapy?" "What are some of your most distressing symptoms?" "How long has this been happening?"
We’ll talk about your history including your childhood, education, relationships (family, romantic, friends), your current living situation and your career.
Our sessions will be laid back but designed for your unique needs. For women with ADHD, we may utilize workbooks written specifically to address the common stressors for women with this difference. As therapists, we've found a structured approach is helpful not only to stay focused, but also because the neurodivergent brain thrives with structure.

Clients working with us can expect to leave sessions feeling seen, supported, and more connected to their authentic selves. You’ll gain practical tools tailored to the unique ways your challenges impact your life, along with a deeper understanding of how neurodivergence intersects with identity, emotions, and life experiences. Our integrative approach, blending traditional therapy with intuitive practices like astrology and tarot, helps clients uncover meaningful insights and reframe limiting beliefs. Over time, you’ll build self-compassion, learn to honor your rhythms, and develop strategies to navigate burnout, overwhelm, and self-doubt. Most importantly, you’ll walk away with a renewed sense of worthiness and the confidence to live in alignment with who you truly are. With this alignment, you can expect to grow in relationship with yourself and others with the goal of becoming more fulfilled in all areas of life.
A therapy session with Her Neurotruth is going to feel warm, validating, and deeply personalized. We aspire to create a space where neurodivergent women can show up exactly as they are - without judgment or pressure to mask. We believe the therapeutic alliance is the most important aspect to healing and encourage my clients to openly discuss their experience in therapy. Sessions may begin with gentle grounding or intuitive check-ins, perhaps incorporating astrology or tarot to explore emotional themes or patterns. From there, we guide clients through a blend of neurodiversity-affirming dialogue, practical strategies for managing daily life, and trauma-informed reflection. Our approach is collaborative and empowering, as we help you reconnect with your inner wisdom while also building tools for everyday life. Whether it's unpacking burnout, navigating relationships, or rediscovering self-worth, therapy with us offers both insight and actionable support.
We may be a good fit if you’re looking for a therapist who is compassionate, affirming, and deeply attuned to your needs. We specialize in supporting neurodivergent women using an integrative approach that honors your story. Her Neurotruth brings empathy, creativity and a clear understanding of neurodivergent experiences - we aspire to make you feel safe so you can feel empowered to move forward in life with less guilt and more freedom. If you’re looking for a therapist who sees the whole person so you can reclaim your worthiness, we are exactly the kind of support you've been hoping to find.
The point of counseling is to create positive changes as quickly as possible without feeling hurried or rushed.
Together, we’ll define the problem so you can begin to create your own personal blueprint for growth. During our sessions, we may ask you questions like:
“What’s your definition of the problem?” “Are there people in your life making the problem worse?” “Does this problem make you feel sad, mad, stuck, hopeless…or something else?” “What have you done so far to address the problem?” “What makes the problem better?”
Not at all. People who ask for help know when they need it and have the courage to reach out. Everyone needs help now and then. In our work together, we'll help you explore and identify your strengths and how to implement them to reduce the influence of the problems you are facing.
The difference is between someone who can do something, and someone who has the training and experience to do that same thing professionally. A mental health professional can help you approach your situation in a new way: teach you new skills, gain different perspectives, listen to you without judgment or expectations, and help you listen to yourself. Furthermore, counseling is completely confidential.
You won’t have to worry about others “knowing my business.” Lastly, if your situation provokes a great deal of negative emotion, and you’ve been confiding in a friend or family member, there is the risk that once you are feeling better you could start avoiding that person so you aren’t reminded of this difficult time in your life.
Medication can be effective but it alone cannot solve all issues. Sometimes medication is needed in conjunction with counseling. Our work together is designed to explore and unpack the problems you are experiencing and expand on your strengths that can help you accomplish your personal goals.
Unfortunately, this is not possible to say in a general FAQs page. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time counseling can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling in the first place.
We are so glad you are dedicated to getting the most out of your sessions. Your active participation and dedication will be crucial to your success.
The PMAI (Pearson-Marr Archetype Indicator) assessment is a scientifically validated tool designed to help individuals understand their active archetypes, which can enhance self-awareness and personal development.
The PMAI assessment is a valuable tool for anyone looking to explore their inner archetypes, enhance self-awareness, and improve their personal and professional relationships.
The PMAI is based on a 12-archetype model developed by Carol Pearson, Ph.D., and Hugh Marr, Ph.D. It serves as a psychological assessment that identifies the archetypes most active in an individual's life. By understanding these archetypes, individuals can gain insights into their motivations, behaviors, and interpersonal dynamics.
Self-Understanding: The PMAI helps individuals recognize the unconscious stories they live by, allowing for greater self-awareness and personal growth. It provides a framework for understanding how different archetypes influence thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Decision-Making: By identifying which archetypes are most active, individuals can make more aligned decisions that resonate with their true selves and life goals.
Improved Relationships: Understanding one's own archetypes and those of others can enhance interpersonal relationships by fostering empathy and communication.
How It Works
Participants take the PMAI assessment, which generates results in the form of two main reports:
Core Report: This report provides essential information about the primary archetypes active in the individual's life.
Expanded Report: This offers a deeper exploration of how all archetypes can manifest in the individual's life story, providing a more comprehensive understanding of their personality and motivations.
Accessing the PMAI
The PMAI assessment can be taken online through the StoryWell website, which also offers resources and information about the archetypes and their applications in personal and organizational contexts. You’ll be sent an email with a link to the assessment with a deadline for completing it. The assessment will be used to inform our work in therapy or during an intuitive consultation session.
